The day started out like any other, until speed and traffic accidents flooded the country. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">By the end of the day, a new term was coined for the extensive\u00a0amount\u00a0of traffic-related fatalities: Black Friday.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\"> To prevent crashes like these from causing further damage to Ukraine, police turn to Laser Technology Inc.&#8217;s (LTI) TruCAM<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> laser speed gun.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>A Tragic Crash Sees Ukraine Turn to LTI&#8217;s TruCAM<\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_9570\" style=\"width: 285px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9570\" class=\"wp-image-9570 \" src=\"https:\/\/lasertech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/TruCam_Screen_Officer_Police_Photo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-9570\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">LTI\u2019s TruCAM Photo Video Lidar Speed Enforcement Device will be used in Ukraine for traffic safety.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">On July 20, around 5:00 AM near the village of\u00a0Krivoye,\u00a0a Lake\u00a0Nikolaevskaya\u00a0region, a Volkswagen Minibus containing passengers crashed into a truck. 5 died and 12 with severe injuries.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">At 11:00 AM at the entrance to the village of\u00a0Pribugskoe\u00a0near Khmelnitsky, a head-on collision between an IVECO truck and VW Golf resulted in 3 deaths and 1 severe injury.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">A few hours later in the Zhitomir region, at the 127th kilometer of the Kiev-Chip highway, near the village of\u00a0Glubochitsa, a minibus and large DAF truck with a semitrailer collided. 10 people died and another 10 were hospitalized.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In the evening, near Kiev on\u00a0Staroobuhovskaya\u00a0highway, another collision caused a family of three to burn alive. A motorcyclist also died in Kiev who flew over the handles and into an advertising banner.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">A total of 22 people died that day in Ukraine. A fatality number that the country hasn&#8217;t been seen in years.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>TruCAM to Prevent a Repeat Event<\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">However, police are taking action to ensure another Black Friday incident doesn\u2019t happen again. Ukraine has invested in the\u00a0TruCAM\u00a0laser speed enforcement gun that will be implemented and installed in cars of the National Police.
