The sight of an officer\u2019s vehicle triggers even the most by-the-books motorists to quickly re-evaluate, and often completely change, their driving.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u201cAs a County Agency on the Western slope of the state, [officers] are limited with places to park to do <i>proactive<\/i>\u00a0speed enforcement.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Hills with steep rises and drop-offs are a common feature that complicate traffic safety observation. According to Oakley, the \u201ccounty has various landscapes, ranging from tight neighborhood roadways, to ranchlands, to mountain roads, all of which have narrow roads.\u201d <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">This limits opportunities for officers to post up out-of-sight.
